My husband left Viet Nam in 1972 and Saigon was under attack then. It did not take three years for it to fall. But then again, I could be remembering that wrong.
The Fall of Saigon was a sad and depressing day for me and thousands of other Vietnam Veterans who fought, died, and lost our souls in a war our government refused to win.
