How can it have been written 2 years after it was signed?
I don’t understand the question. The Declaration of Independence was written and signed in 1776. The Constitution was written in 1787 and ratified in 1788. Two separate documents.
Most people failed to accept that, since it was completed two years after the signing!
After the Revolutionary War, the country was governed by the Articles of Confederation, not the constitution as we have it today. That was ratified well after 1776
